Seven elementary schools were closed, including A rated campuses. These closures have caused chaos in affected areas. We need a board who will prioritize education and serving the people, and I am ready to bring that.
We must resist the push by the legislature to prioritize one religious tradition over others.
While there are no current proposals to close more schools, I do not trust the current board not to push for more closures once the election is over.
Teachers have a larger impact on our children's education than anyone in the district. Recruiting and Retaining quality teachers must always be a high priority.
Educational Technology is a multi billion dollar industry concerned first and foremost with its profits, not our students. We need to be very deliberate when we engage with it and demand evidence based outcomes before we commit district resources or expose our children to these programs.
The current board of trustees in unreachable. They didn't respond to community members and they make their votes without comment, even when ignoring massive community backlash. I want to make sure your voices are heard.
